Giving away a free informational product such as an e-book, an email series or a mini-course is a popular tactic many affiliate marketers use. Usually, your readers will have to provide their email addresses to receive the product from you. You can then use this to sell to them via email marketing. Additionally, an informational product can generate interest in the actual product you're trying to sell. If your product is popular enough and brings enough traffic to your site, you could also monetize the traffic in other ways, such as AdSense.
The easiest and most common way to start building an audience for a website is via social media. Depending on your niche and industry, you can choose from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and several other niche and location-specific networks. Building up an engaged and interested following on social media is a great opportunity to build relationships and once you have their trust, promote your products and services to them.
1. EasyAzon flat-out didn’t work, and their customer service was the absolute worst. 2. Genius Links worked, but often the same products wouldn’t be available on other Amazon sites, and the link would redirect to another product or a search page full of irrelevant products… not ideal. Plus, I was getting more clicks, but not enough international conversions to justify the $9 a month [seriously guys, Amazon does not pay well haha]. Long story short: this is a complication to be wary of!
Dylan, thank you for your comment and the question. To be honest, this is the first time that I hear about “Savage Affiliates” (so, I’m afraid, I would be the wrong person to give you an opinion on it). There are many online training courses on affiliate marketing out there (including this video course put together by yours truly) but I have not taken any of them. So, I wouldn’t be able to be of much help here.
A more beginner-friendly option to earn money as an affiliate marketer, without maintaining a blog or website, is through Amazon. And, as previously mentioned, the Amazon Associates program works well with many non-blogging platforms. Plus, their tools make it easy to integrate your unique affiliate links into the content you share, whether you’re making a YouTube video or posting a social media update.
Affiliate marketing is one way to make money online for those who want to derive an income from their web use. An affiliate marketer promotes specific products or websites in exchange for a cut of the profits or commissions from the web traffic she generates. Any time the recommendation/web traffic from an internet affiliate leads to a sale, the affiliate earns money. In other words, the products or services are provided by others, while you provide a sales or marketing outlet. While there are no successful get-rich-quick schemes, many people have found success doing internet marketing as an affiliate. Learning how to work as a successful affiliate marketer can help you determine whether a career in this potentially lucrative field might be right for you.
Aside from the obvious advantages of running your own business, being able to work online from anywhere at any time, and having the freedom to choose just how hard you work, there are a few other perks. Affiliates with a strong social following (also known as influencers) can expect to receive freebies from advertisers looking to boost their brand awareness.
Affiliate Marketing Tutorial For Beginners 2020 (Step by Step)
The Federal Trade Commission actually recently shut down the MOBE Program (My Online Business Empire) site because it was a total scam! It charged you money to buy into the exact same products, links & site they were promoting, but then wanted you to bring in new people to promote the exact same products, links & site… and it created a situation where no one was bringing real value, and money was just trickling up to the top.
Started in 2011 by Adam Freedman, the site promotes various cool products and gadgets. Similar to TheWireCutter, they promote products across multiple categories and niches. When I first encountered this website I thought of 9gag.com or Reddit.com. Not because of the site itself, but because of the kind of community it attracts and the user experience focus they have.
